After earning her undergraduate degree in music from Austin College, she studied opera at the Kansas City Conservatory and studied Kodály with Dr. Susan Brumfield and Dr. Amy Huggins. Ms. Ley also has completed Orff levels one and two with Gloria Fuoco-Lawson, and has taken intensive Dalcroze training in NYC under the tutelage of Ann Farber and Cynthia Lilly. She is currently completing her graduate degree in Music Education at the Collge of St. Rose in Albany.
Since moving from Brooklyn to the Hudson Valley in the summer of 2011, Shelly has ceated and developed a family music class, Little Wings Music. She is director of the Prep Choir at TSL in Hudson, and a youth choir in Athens, NY. She is thrilled to be leading this dynamic group of young singers in Troy.
