Troy Children's Chorus...
- An exciting new ensemble for children in grades 2-8
- Open to any child who loves to sing!
- Non-sectarian
- Meets Tuesdays from 3:45 to 5:00 p.m. with optional homework before-care beginning at 2:45 p.m.
- Sings for Civic/Community events in the area (Victorian Stroll, Troy Night Out, etc.), as well as for nursing homes, etc.
- Sings a variety of music, including classical, folk, popular, and world music
- Sings twice annually for the 10 a.m. worship service at First United as compensation for use of facilities, personnel, etc.
The 2010-2011 choir season begins Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, and runs through June 14, 2011 (except Dec. 28, Feb. 22, and Apr. 19). There is open enrollment through October 12, and then again in the month of January. Rehearsals take place in the Rose Room at First United Presbyterian Church.
Emphasis is placed on the enjoyment of music, proper singing technique, and the development of music reading skills.
Fees per semester: $10 music and materials fee/$15 uniform fee
